These photos document the move of Space Shuttle flight test article Enterprise out of the Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy Center outside Washington, D.C.
and to its new home at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City in 2012. Enterprise was moved out of the Smithsonian on
the same day as Discovery was moved in, and additional images, including images of both side by side, can be found on the Discovery page.
Photos show Enterprise being towed out of the museum, flying over New York City, and then being barged from JFK airport to the Intrepid, passing
under the Marine Parkway Bridge and by Manhattan Beach and Coney Island followed by a stop in New Jersey. Note that the inflatable housing has since been
replaced by a more sturdy structure.
