Falcon Heavy demo

Falcon Heavy launches on demo flight

2/6/18 ~ 3:45 p.m.

The Falcon Heavy rocket lifts off for the first time, with the two side first stage cores landing back at Cape Canaveral
simultaneously eight minutes after launch (and the center attempting a landing at sea). With a thrust of nearly 5 million
pounds, the Falcon Heavy is, at the present time, the world's most powerful rocket in terms of thrust. Like the single-core
Falcon 9, it stands 229 feet tall. For its debut demonstration flight, Falcon Heavy carried a Tesla Roadster on a solar
orbit trajectory that took it roughly out to the distance of Mars.
